Women4Metals: Have courage - Against all odds!

How can the metal industry be strengthened as an attractive employer for women?

In order to shed light on precisely this question from different angles, the SynFlex Group, as a premium partner of Women4Metals, brought the initiative to Lippe for the first time and invited well-known personalities and experts from business and industry to Lügde. Under the motto "Have courage - Against all odds!", the SynFlex Group, together with the companies SHWire from Lügde and SynFlex Elektro from Blomberg, offered a platform for high-caliber presentations, discussions and practical workshops.

Top-class speakers and practical impulses

Renowned speakers such as Dr. Anne-Marie Großmann (Georgsmarienhütte Holding), Dr. Anna-Maria Karl (Kienbaum), Henrike Luszick (Bridgemaker) and Livia von Mitschke-Collande (Google) shed light from various perspectives on which future skills are particularly in demand in the metal industry and how companies can create attractive career paths for women.

Inka von Puttkamer, a frigate captain in the German Navy, also made a special impression. In her keynote speech, she gave an impressive account of how she and her husband - both frigate captains - managed to combine family and career with three children. Her story was well received and made a lasting impression on the guests.

In a panel discussion with Lisa Robben (Saatchi & Saatchi), Heike Wemhoff (Netzwerk encourageventures), Dr. Anna-Maria Karl and Michael Wieland (SynFlex), it also became clear how essential networks and role models are for personal and professional development.

Conclusion: extremely positive feedback and a strong signal from Lügde

"The energy that was palpable on these two days in Lügde shows that change is possible if people have the courage to initiate it. The consistently positive feedback confirms that we have sent a strong signal for the future of the industry with this event," said Hubertus Hasse, Managing Partner of SynFlex, summarizing the two days.
