SHWire wins the MAGNA Supplier Innovation Award 2019

Lügde/Linz, 21 November 2019.
The producer of enamelled aluminium and copper wires, Schwering & Hasse Elektrodraht GmbH, has received the Supplier Innovation Award 2019 for their „Flat Winding Wires with Extremely High Film Thicknesses“.

Dr. Andreas Levermann (Managing Director), Hans Peter Reicher (Head of Research & Development) and Sebastian Kückmann (Key Account Manager) took part in the third Supplier Innovation Challenge 2019, organized for the third time by MAGNA Powertrain in Linz.

MAGNA gave current and potential suppliers the opportunity to submit their ideas and innovative concepts in the categories "Electrification", "Intelligent Control Systems" and "Materials and Production Processes" for the Supplier Innovation Challenge 2019.

SHWire took advantage of this opportunity and prevailed against approximately 50 companies from a wide range of industries with its coating thickness and adhesion-optimized flat wires, thus inspiring another globally active automotive supplier with its innovations.

The 8 finalists were invited to present their innovative products and ideas to local engineers at a lively exhibition at the Engineering Center Steyr in St. Valentin. The winners’ ceremony followed in the Sky Loft of the Ars Electronica Center Museum in Linz.

SHWire was awarded 1st prize in the "Electrification" category for its innovation "Flat Winding Wires with Extremely High Film Thicknesses".

"Our innovation has aroused great interest at MAGNA and we were extensively questioned by those present from various areas," adds Dr. Levermann.

For SHWire it is a very successful and important award. It proves that the innovative efforts of recent years have paid off and that SHWire arouses great interest in the automotive market with its flat wire innovations.
